Participation in the online networks usually requires fairly recent data. They want updated data, because they want to fly online. This layer is what advanced hobbyist users care about. The updated base – what is supplied by third-party providers Reading the article by Philipp I think you should look at this paragraph: I selected the Aerobask Phenom and I am STILL getting AIRAC 2008 in the G1000. I fired up XPlane and all loaded normally.
NAVIGRAPH X PLANE 11 UPDATE
This was followed up by another Navigraph update and again< i have checked that the data in the three folders in Custom Data were AIRAC 2103. This at least, stopped the CTD but the AIRAC remained on 2008 (expected because the old XPlane was saved about September last year. When reloading all the folders did nothing to fix the CTD, I copied the Custom Data folder from a previously saved complete copy of XPlane 11. This was an effort to try to locate the offending source of AIRAC 2008. Each time i got the Navigraph message followed by CTD. So I then loaded each of the folders previously saved to desktop, one at a time. clicking on the "I understand" produced an expected CTD. Then I did a scan and got them all back and did an entire Navigraph update.Īfter that was finished I loaded XPlane and got an error message to the effect that no navdata was detected. The next step was to remove the X-Plane 11/X-Plane11 GNS etc and the XFMC from the Navigraph addon list. I then copied the entire custom data folder to desktop and then proceeded to empty it all except the basic folders and sub-folders. As always back up existing filesĪfter I got nowhere with the last. LEAVE the existing earth_astro in place within the DEFAULT data. S using the default data, XP11/resources/default data which is June 2020, you can copy and paste the current CIFP folder from custom data and the following earth files located in the custom data root, awy, fix, hold, mora, msa and nav. Not mine I think they frown on links here
NAVIGRAPH X PLANE 11 HOW TO
Given that all the cycle_info.txts are indicating AIRAC is current and correct, which also tells me the download paths are correct, I am wondering where this AIRAC cycle 2008 is coming from and how to correct it. When I load the Aerobask Phenom or DA62 and load a simbrief flight plan (AIRAC 2103) I am being advised that the AIRAC information is different and that the XPlane AIRAC is 2008. The text document (cycle_info.txt ) tells me that it is AIRAC Cycle 2103.
